Knorr-Bremse is the world’s leading producer of braking and hydraulic systems for railways and commercial vehicles. Recruiting outstanding local expertise is key to the success of its Hungarian development and production centre, so the company must compete fiercely for recent graduates. This made Knorr-Bremse’s appearance at the 20th HVG Job Fair especially crucial in enabling the company to communicate its most important selling point to its target audience – working practices which offer complex and genuine challenges. In order to attract the attention of IT experts and engineers, Knorr-Bremse chose Progressive to create and implement the design for its stand. In previous years, visitors to the trade fair handed in 300 CVs, and the target in 2017 was to get one and a half times this number.
Our concept brought the special quality of the company’s brand into focus: Knorr-Bremse engineers don’t simply complete their own individual tasks, they actively participate in the entire workflow of development and production from planning to execution. The stand invited visitors into the world of railways and provided them with an interactive experience: various stations guided visitors through the entire work process, demonstrating that they would enjoy the same set of responsibilities if they worked for the company. We illustrated the products and the work of the company using spectacular high-tech solutions, including AR technology and Leap Motion.
More than 10,000 visitors came to the HVG Job Fair, and the number of those who stopped by the Knorr-Bremse stand surpassed all expectations. The company received nearly three times as many resumés as in previous years, while the stand also earned professional recognition. From more than 200 exhibitions, the Knorr-Bremse stand design won first place in the Stand by Me! competition, as well as silver in the HRKOMM Award.
