SMART CITY EXPO BARCELONA
WORLD CONGRESS 2017
– DEUTSCHE TELEKOM
Smart city in action
Exhibitors from 120 countries converged on the conference to build installations providing a glimpse into the smart cities of the future to an audience of almost 10,000 industry professionals. Deutsche Telekom was represented in 2017 with its most extensive stand to date. We were tasked with planning and executing a visually appealing and coherent concept that would demonstrate how DT’s urban infrastructure solutions will make the operation of cities more cost-effective and streamlined.
When developing the stand, our primary goal was to present the tools showcasing the smart city solutions being used and developed across Europe as they would operate in a real-world environment. In addition to the individual demos, our digital team developed a proprietary VR platform that demonstrates various services as they might be integrated into the new Telekom headquarters being built in Budapest.
Deutsche Telekom’s stand took the form of a bridge and spanned two levels with a total floor space of 270 m2, making it the expo’s most eye-catching and interactive location. During the course of the event, participants heard 15 industry presentations and experienced live demonstrations of 16 Deutsche Telekom smart city solutions.
