Service areas: get more out of every customer interaction

Shopper insight and trade strategy

“Trade marketing begins with understanding what's going through the customer’s mind at the moment of decision.”

Orsolya Szabó, Business Unit Director, Partner

Build your campaign around how people actually choose. The creative direction connects your brand message with the target audience, the category, the retail setting and the promotional goal. This turns the idea into a relevant response to a real shopper decision.
Promotional mechanisms and in-store promotions

“A good promotion doesn’t just seek attention; it provides a clear reason to take action.”

Zsófia Pusztai, Account Director

Make your promotion easy to understand and hard to overlook. Product launches, seasonal activities and in-store activations are built around a creative idea that fits the brand, works in the real retail environment and gives shoppers an immediate reason to act.
POS, retail materials and end-to-end implementation

“In the retail space, every detail counts: the message, the form, the material, the visibility and the feasibility.”

Zsolt Baranyai, Creaive Group Head

Get retail materials that work in the real shopping environment. POS, displays, in-store signage, hostess materials, sales tools, packaging accessories and digital retail assets are developed with both creative impact and production reality in mind. Faster versioning and adaptation keep every asset aligned with your brand, channel and the moment of purchase.

The usual trade marketing routine…

Promotional communication without insight: when the promotion consists solely of a price discount or a promotional mechanism, but is not based on genuine customer motivation or a brand message.

Disconnected POS production: when displays, shelf materials, digital banners, hostess briefs and sales tools are produced separately, the campaign falls apart at the point of purchase.

Creative ideas disconnected from retail reality: when an idea is spectacular but doesn’t fit within the realities of the channel, production, logistics, the in-store environment or partners’ expectations.

…and our approach to trade marketing

Let’s start from the customer’s perspective: Make your brand message relevant at the moment of choice. The creative idea starts with when, where and why your customer makes a decision.

Combining creative mechanisms with business objectives: Get a promotion that is clear, appealing, on-brand and measurable. The mechanic, message and execution work together as one integrated system, so the idea is easy to understand and built to deliver results.

We design with retail realities in mind: Make sure your idea holds up in the real world. By factoring in retail conditions, production possibilities, partner expectations and customer attention, the concept is designed to work where the purchase decision happens.

In-house creative and production resources: Get versions, POS materials, adaptations and sales tools faster. Strategy, creative, DTP and production work closely together, so the process stays connected from the first idea to the finished asset.

A transparent, controlled process: Stay in control of the details. The Client Portal and review platform keep your trade campaign’s tasks, versions, changes and approvals organised, visible and moving forward in one clear workflow.

This is how we work together

How do you go about tackling a trade marketing task?

First, we analyse the purchasing situation: where does the customer encounter the brand, what decision do they need to make, in which category, through which channel, and with what business objective in mind. Only then do we move on to the mechanism, the creative direction, the POS or the form of activation.

How do you help with a product launch?

When launching a product, we coordinate the launch message, the promotional strategy, retail presence, the POS system, sales support materials and related communications. This ensures that customers are presented with the same compelling argument at every touchpoint.

Can you design promotional schemes as well?

Yes. Whether it’s prize draws, tastings, in-store activities, seasonal promotions or partner campaigns, we design the mechanism based on the objective, customer motivation and the brand’s character. We ensure that the activity is easy to understand, appealing and feasible.

How can a POS display be more than just a simple decoration?

By treating it as a decision-making moment. A good POS helps customers recognise the brand, quickly understand the offer, and makes it clear why it’s worth choosing. To achieve this, the message, format, visual style and execution must all work together.

How does the trade campaign tie in with the rest of the communications?

Trade activity is effective when it is linked to the brand’s wider campaign strategy. TV, social media, performance marketing, content, POS and in-store activations can all reinforce the same message, albeit in different contexts and formats.

Can you adapt quickly to multiple retailers or channels?

Yes. Thanks to our in-house creative, DTP and production capabilities, as well as our automation systems, we can quickly adapt to different channels, sizes, specifications or partner requirements. This is particularly important for trade campaigns, where there are often multiple retailers, multiple formats and multiple rounds of approval running simultaneously.

How do you measure the success of a trade campaign?

Success depends on the objective: we might be looking at sales figures, trial rates, redemption rates, participation, in-store activity, reach, partner feedback or campaign effectiveness. The most important thing is to agree at the outset on the specific decision or behaviour we want to elicit from the customer.

What is my role as a client in this process?

As a client, you play a vital role in joint business and brand-related decisions. We manage the production and coordination process as a single, integrated process, whilst the Client Portal and review platform help ensure that versions, feedback and approvals can be easily tracked.

How does Progressive Brain learn the rules of my brand?

At the start of our collaboration, we’ll upload your brand’s style guide, data from your previous campaigns, research and creative materials into your own, fully secure Progressive Brain environment. This means the system doesn’t just make generalisations; it understands the specific context and history of your brand right from the very start.

Is our campaign data safe with Progressive Brain?

Yes. Progressive Brain is a closed, client-level isolated RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system: each agent can only access data relating to its own brand. We process data only to the extent necessary for the service to operate, and we do not use it to train AI models. Access is granted exclusively to authorised users and our designated specialists.

What is my role if the background processes are handled by the Client Portal and Brain?

You’ll have far less administration, monitoring and coordination to deal with. This finally frees up your time for what really matters: working with us to shape the strategy, refine creative ideas and focus on the event’s business results. Our systems reduce waiting times and eliminate unnecessary, tedious tasks, so that you have the time and energy to focus on personal interaction and professional discussions.
