Conference 2024

The aim of the SciEngineering Conference 2024 was to create a large-scale professional event capable of bringing together stakeholders from the fields of engineering, research and development, and technology. The conference had to provide authoritative professional content, inspiring presentations, an interactive experience and effective networking opportunities all at once.

The challenge lay in the fact that the programme covered a wide range of topics and target groups: AI, electrification, modelling, technical computing, finite element simulation and industrial research and development were all included. This diverse range of technical content had to be structured in such a way that participants could easily find the presentations relevant to them, whilst ensuring the conference provided a cohesive and easy-to-follow experience.

The event served more than just an informational purpose. It was necessary to create an environment where researchers, developers, engineers, industry professionals and decision-makers could engage in genuine dialogue, build new connections and return home with practical inspiration.

We built the conference concept around the idea of ‘Redefine the Limits of Science’. This framework emphasised innovation, scientific curiosity and practical applicability in equal measure, whilst also providing a suitable basis for the event’s image, communication and programme structure.

At the full-day event held at Millenáris in Budapest, alongside the plenary sessions, three parallel thematic sessions, workshops, round-table discussions and interactive demonstrations ensured professional depth and a varied experience for participants.

We structured the programme so that the conference would address both the latest technological trends and their practical applications. The industrial use of artificial intelligence, electromobility, model-based development, simulation solutions and trends shaping the future of R&D were all topics explored through real-world industry examples and engineering experience.

The event organisation tasks included shaping the technical programme into a cohesive event experience, facilitating participant pathways and networking opportunities, and coordinating branding and communication elements. The aim was to ensure that the conference was at once scientifically credible, forward-looking and accessible.

The SciEngineering Conference 2024 successfully served as a meeting point for stakeholders in engineering innovation, research and development, and technological solutions. With over 250 participants, more than 20 expert speakers and a diverse programme, the event provided an opportunity for intensive knowledge-sharing, inspiration and networking.

The conference strengthened SciEngineer’s position within the engineering and R&D community, whilst providing a platform for dialogue between industry, academia and technology stakeholders. Participants were not only able to attend presentations, but could also engage with current innovation topics through practical case studies, workshops and interactive demonstrations.

The project also received professional recognition: the Hungarian Marketing Association awarded the 2024 SciEngineering Conference a Diamond Award in the ‘Events and event-based activations’ category.
